Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Billing & Co Estate Agents wants everyone who visits this website — including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology — to be able to find what they need. We're working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is an ongoing effort rather than a one-off project, and this page will be updated as our work continues.

What We've Done

Steps we've taken on this site so far include:

• Keyboard navigation — every link, button, form field and menu can be operated without a mouse, including a "Skip to content" link on every page, a focus-trapped mobile menu that closes on Esc and returns focus to where you opened it, and visible focus outlines on every interactive element.
• Colour contrast — text colours have been checked against their backgrounds to meet WCAG AA's minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and interface components), including separate, darker tones used specifically for small print on our light-coloured sections.
• Alt text — meaningful images carry a written description for screen reader users; purely decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology so they don't add noise.
• Semantic structure — pages use proper landmark regions (navigation, main content, footer), a single top-level heading per page, and a logical heading order, so the page can be navigated by structure, not just by scrolling.
• Reduced-motion support — our homepage's ambient background video and auto-advancing slideshow honour your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and every autoplaying element has a visible pause control.
• Form labelling — every form field has a programmatic label, required fields are marked with a visible "*" (not colour alone), and every enquiry form works the same way with a keyboard as it does with a mouse.

Known Limitations

We audit and test this site regularly, but some content is outside our direct control — most notably the embedded Google Map on our Contact page and any third-party booking widget or payment page we link out to. These are built and maintained by their own providers, and while we choose reputable providers, we can't guarantee their accessibility to the same standard as the rest of this site. If you strike a problem with one of these, let us know using the details below and we'll help however we can, including offering the same information a different way.
